Recent Liverpool Time-lapse projects

Below are a selection of our Liverpool time-lapse projects from recent years. We hope you enjoy watching!

Motorparks Warrington – Refurbishment Project

The Motorparks Warrington car dealership has one of the finest collections of used vehicles in the North West, with vehicles from car giants including Vauxhall, Peugeot, Nissan, Fiat and many more. In October 2023, it was also the first of the group’s locations to be rebranded and redesigned as part of a wider project of transformation. We captured the external rebrand and internal fit-out with our time-lapse cameras for Cambia Property Investments. We also visited the site once the refurbishment was complete to film inside and out, and captured drone footage of the site as well. This created a stunning end to the time-lapse film, and really shows the wonderful finish and attention to detail achieved by this fantastic refurbishment project.

Jason Button, Managing Director, Cambria Property Investments Ltd said: “It was a pleasure working with Regenology on this exciting project. Motorparks is a new concept in the marketplace, with carbon offsetting and focus on sustainability, and we are delighted that we managed to capture the whole major refurbishment from start to finish. We look forward to continuing to work with Regenology in the future.”

Construction of Element The Quarter (Liverpool)

Element The Quarter is an eco-friendly accommodation building in the heart of the vibrant Liverpool city centre. Designed with the needs of modern students in mind, it’s within easy reach of university buildings and libraries, as well as all the excitement the city has to offer. The on-site gym promotes a healthy and active lifestyle and the development provides students with a dynamic living experience where academic excellence meets urban living, as well as a comfortable, secure, and inspiring environment for them to thrive. The construction of this state-of-the-art building and it’s fabulous roof top terrace was captured by our time-lapse cameras and can be seen in the film below:

Demolition of the Liverpool Arena Carpark (Liverpool)

Following a huge fire on New Year’s Eve 2018, the Liverpool Echo Arena Car Park was left in an unsafe condition. No-one was injured in the devastating blaze, but 1400 cars were destroyed. Thousands of people were left affected and displaced on one of Liverpool’s busiest nights of the year. The fabric of the building was extensively damaged as the massive inferno raced through the car park, and the remains of hundreds of abandoned cars were left behind. This all required careful and considered demolition and clearance to make the site safe again and ready for redevelopment. The process was captured by our time-lapse systems and you can watch below:

Redevelopment of Calderstones Mansion House (Liverpool)

Calderstones Mansion House in Calderstones Park, Liverpool, is a ‘restrained neo-classical’ ashlar mansion that was built in 1828 for Joseph Need Walker, a lead shot manufacturer. It has a long history, having been acquired by Charles MacIver, co-founder of Cunard Line, in 1875, and then bequeathed to the Liverpool Corporation in 1902. It has hosted a tea room, cafe and events venue, but in the 1970s became council offices and remained that way until 2012. It was subsequently acquired by The Reader, and in 2017 they began redevelopment work to restore the grade II listed Mansion House and create The Reader’s International Centre for Shared Reading, the world’s first public building dedicated to literature and wellbeing. Installation of the New Orrell Footbridge (Orrell)

The Orrell footbridge provides public footpath access across the slip-road at J26 of the M6 / M58 in Orrell, a suburb of Wigan. It sustained damage after being hit by a HGV, meaning a new bridge was required. Installation of the new replacement footbridge took place in 2020, meaning residents on either side of this busy stretch of the M6 were reunited again! The project cost £1.8 million and was completed by main contractor, A E Yates Civil Engineering. A E Yates deployed a 24/7 working schedule, with the majority of works undertaken at night. We used short term time-lapse photography and onsite filming with a manned camera to capture the install and you can see the film below:

Kelsall Primary School (Tarporley)

Kelsall Primary School in Tarporley, Cheshire. The new building was designed and built by The Qube, and the film really demonstrates how quickly modular buildings can go up!
